It is a blend of grapes, usually including Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. It has an intense ruby red colour with purple hues. The nose is harmonious and fruity, with aromas of cherry, black cherry and plum, enriched by spicy notes and hints of liquorice. The palate is fresh, full-bodied and supported by silky tannins, with a pleasant savouriness and a balanced finish. Vinification takes place with fermentation in wooden and steel vats, followed by a short ageing period. It is a young, ready-to-drink wine, ideal for pairing with cured meats, first courses with meat sauces and grilled meats.
